Food is good. Counter help are friendly
Love it. We order out all the time from up the street at BelAir Nissan. The PuPu Platter is great. Only complaint is that they aren't open on Mondays but i guess the owner does need a day off..
The food tastes much better under new ownership. However, the owner recently significantly raised the price of most menu items. I can only afford to eat there once a month....where before it was 2 to 4 times a month. I can understand a 3% cost of living increases in food, but to raise the price of meals anywhere from .75 to $1.50 or more is alarming. I’ve also noticed a suttle decrease in takeout portions. I.e., they used to fill the quart container of wonton soup to the top with broth, now the broth is an 1” or more below the top.
If you want excellent Chinese food with huge portions and freindly staff, try Kim Wah on Tollgate Road across from Sears....you’ll can’t go wrong.
Update: I ordered Asian Cafe delivery last night. I was happy with everything I ordered, which included General Tso's chicken and a small vegetable fried rice. I was really impressed with the vegetable fried rice. It included the normal onions, peas, and carrots, but also broccoli, mushrooms, and a few bean sprouts, zucchini cubes, and bamboo shoots. Very impressed with all that variety of veggies.
The General Tso's chicken was everything I hoped it would be, portion sizes were enough to satisfy my large appetite, and pricing was very reasonable. Changed my 4-star review from 2017 to a 5-star.
Old review from 2017: I got the sesame chicken lunch special with fried rice. It was good, but not great. A very inexpensive lunch option at just $6.31. In my opinion, everyone would benefit if Asian Cafe stepped up its quality and raised its prices. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get big chunks of white meat chicken, more vegetables mixed in, and no msg.
