Rise Biscuits Donuts Columbia

This is a new place so this review is subject to change, but there were some serious issues I encountered trying out rise. I came in for a breakfast sandwich during a rush and waited 32 minutes for food. I understand it gets busy during the morning rush but I found this to be far too long of a wait and gave me no reason to ever considering coming back. The food, when it finally arrived, was very tasty. However, as the seating is very limited and the taste of the food does not make up for the wait I would find no reason to ever return to Rise unless they were able to handle their rushes more efficiently. If you are planning on eating at Rise please come in with a patient mindset.

Very pleased with our first visit. I got the chicken biscuit and ham biscuit...both were amazing. My kids gave the donuts thumbs up. My wife liked her avocado biscuit. Place was surprisingly well for having just opened. Only down side is that seating is very limited - 4 outside tables and a few stools inside. We got a table, but a lot of people were sitting on the curb eating.

The food was good, but the place and staff seemed unorganized. I ordered the spicy chicken on a potato roll and got a biscuit instead. The chicken was heavily salted and quite crunchy but still decent. The jalapenos and boom boom sauce were pretty good. Also got a side of cheesy tots. This included 4 tots that had a crispy shell and a very mushy inside. Won't order those again but might consider trying something else

Stopped in on opening day! I have to say this is the best biscuit in Columbia. It is the best biscuit I've had in years. I got the spicy chicken biscuit. Comes with hot sauce pickled jalapenos and crispy onions. Every bite was delicious. Just the right amount of heat, abd the pickled jalapenos were a great addition.
To finish my meal I had a bacon maple donut. What a treat. Rich and sweet. Nice pieces of crispy bacon on top. 10/10 will be eating more of these.
Service was a bit slow but it was also packed and the first day. There has been a constant stream of people walking in for the last 30 minutes. I'm excited to return to try everything on the menu.

Just had a great experience at their soft opening this morning. The staff was polite and working hard to keep up with the rush on their first day. We had the maple bacon donut, which was heavenly! And we ate the Southern biscuit and Honey biscuit. Both biscuits tasted amazing. We are excited for this new location and will definitely be back!
