Rocklands Farm

Today was my first visit to the winery, even though I've heard good reviews about it. I've left disappointed with mixed feelings about it. The grounds are great, with old farm building and the barn converted into a tasting room. Very cosy, you can have fun time with friends, and even arrange for a small party in the tree shade. However, having said that, do not expect to try a good wine. Everything I've tasted was mediocre at best, even by Maryland standards. Whites were all on the sweet side. Reds are not exciting either. I was told they've spent 7 months in oak, but it certainly did not feel that way. They all very young wines without sophistication. If I come next time I will bring my own bottle of good Californian wine and enjoy it with the nice local cheese, sausage, and crackers they sell.

Went on a Saturday and was very pleased with the service, wine, and food vendors. We were able to go on a free tour of how they make the wine which was an added bonus. Their prices are just right for wine as they are a smaller winery. The vendors that they had were exceptional and very high quality food at a very reasonable price. The only thing I would change would be to expand the concrete patio!

Surprising, quaint, and convenient to DC. The educational tasting is paired with various chocolates. Cider is also offered here. Most anyone will find something to their liking. There is live music on the weekends. For 2019 they have expanded the seating area around the little pond.

I love Rocklands! Great winery with lots of outdoor seating. The pizza they serve in the summer is phenomenal. Absolutely amazing paired with wine ???? we even had my brother’s wedding here. Love this place. Highly recommended ????
