We've been going to Faryab for about 15 years. My wife is Persian and even as child became accustomed to fine Middle Eastern food. She says the kabobs – especially the lamb and chicken – are the best she's had. I have had a lot of good kabob, and these are in a different league. But the price is ridiculously low for the world class quality – about $20 for a generous platter, including rice, grilled veggies, salad and bread. We've sampled other things on the menu – all good. But now we just always share orders of the lamb and chicken kabob (the rice is delicious, always perfectly cooked like everything else), and we each have a side order of spinach. Which is easily the best I've ever had, tastes and goes down kind of like a fine wine, I kid you not.
Excellent food. Very friendly owners and wait staff. Easy parking across the street.
One dominant spice in our party's 3 entrees- cardamom. If you like it, this place is for you. Service was excellent and food was well prepared.
Excellent food and very friendly service. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Bethesda. The food is flavorful and we'll spiced.
I've been eating at this place for years now, and it has to be some of the best Afghan food I've had in the states. It's a bit on the pricier side, but you're paying for quality ingredients with love and care put into the dishes while supporting a family owned business who love their customers.
Every time I'm back in the area I make sure to hit this place up at least once. Get some Kadu while you're there (Pumpkin and Beef), SO GOOD.
Nice little Afgan cafe in Bethesda. My dining companions liked it better than I did. I found it tasty but kind of one note.
