(August 26, 2018, 2:41 am)This is as good as it gets for Jamaican food in NW DC. I order from here regularly and the food is consistent. The owners are almost always there and friendly. It's important to note this is Jamaican, not Trinidadian or "carribean", food. The flavor profile is different and unlike what I've found along Georgia Ave to the city.
My only complaint is their spicy beef patties aren't very good to me. Too much butter(?) in the crust and often overpowering onion taste. -

(August 12, 2018, 4:53 pm)The food is good. I always have the brown stew and steamed vegetables (cabbage and carrots). I had greens thinking it was callaloo but wasn't, that wasn't good. Oh neither was the jerk chicken dish....it lacked the spiciness. The fried dumplings are the BEST. Servers are nice. I wish they were open before 10/11a during the week. Lastly, they are relocating, so currently closed, and have not posted the new location yet.
