Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodle

When I come here, I would pick one noodle dish along with some dumplings or scallion pancake. Choose the pulled noodles if you like chewy texture. Pick the shaved noodles if you want soft on the outside and doughy inside.

Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodles is excellent and a great addition to the Washingtonian RIO restaurants. Its fun to watch the chef make the noodles fresh as well as the soups and stir fry. The food was so good today that after eating scallion pancakes, one stir fry chicken and one stir fry beef (shared between the whole family) we then ordered chicken fried rice and another scallion pancake to take home for dinner! This restaurant is usually full when we pass by and they still get the food served quickly with less waiting than most places. I recommend this to friends as a refreshing taste and worth stopping by. Accidentally found this noodle store at RIO and I was amazed. Noodles are delicious and authentic; store is relatively small but clean. Recommend!

I love hand-pull noodles; I pretty much ate this kind of noodles almost every other day in my hometown Taiwan. This is the best hand-pull noodles I find in the US. However, I did find the stir-fry tofu and veggie noodles a little blend. The beef noodle soup tasted very good and they are generous of the amount of meat.

The stir fry chicken was very tasty, I really enjoyed it while eating it, but it was greasy. The noodles were great! My husband ordered the beef brisket soup, which was good, but he didn't like that the beef had the fat on it . This was the day of the soft opening, so I get it, they are still figuring things out. Wish them the best.

Very friendly staff and tasty noodles. The texture of the noodles were perfect with a slight chew to it. I ordered the oxtail noodle soup with regular sized hand pulled noodles.i would give the place 5 stars if the broth had been richer and the oxtail more substantial. I only a few small pieces of oxtail. Wish there was more.
