My boys just hit 4 months and we had been waiting. The website makes it easy to "register" your pets. Uploaded copies of my vet records and they had them when I called a few minutes later. Upon arrival the staff is very friendly and helpful getting you checked in. After we confirmed today was the first day they were eligible... We were welcomed in. Upon entering the gate lots of friendly pups came up to say hi. Not an aggressive one amongst them. Walked over to the "under 30 lbs area" and put the boys down. They were a little timid but every guest nearby came over to pet them. In 90 minutes there I, met a bunch of happy friendly "dog people".
The place does not smell like a dog park at all. And everyone seems right at home with a beer, coffee or soda. The food options are a little limited and I would probably recommend eating at one of the nearby restaurants.
I would have like to have had more tables. It's really difficult to eat sitting so low with dogs everywhere. But on my way out, I noticed a air conditioned indoor area. I probably should have sat there.
The rangers wander around and help with doors and pick up after dogs. I saw one "fight" broken up quickly by the ranger. Everyone was fine and no one got tossed out. The pups just needed a reminder. I only wish there was one in the little dog area. It would have made me more comfortable to maybe have a drink or something.
If this were closer I would probably be back tomorrow.
The boys were out as soon as we got home.
Great concept for a dog park. Most of the things that people tend to dislike about dog parks are no longer an issue here. For one, all dogs are vetted ahead of time to make sure they're up-to-date on their shots, are spayed/neutered (if appropriate) and don't have any behavioral issues. Bark Social has a number of staff members monitoring the play area, and they're quick to address and redirect any pushy or escalating behavior on the part of the dogs. For humans, they have a covered area with heat lamps, food, and a nice selection of local beers / ciders on tap. We've gone here about a dozen times now, and it's almost always worth the extra drive. We also hosted our pooch's first birthday party here, and they were very accommodating.
All in all, this is a fantastic dog park that's well worth the price of admission. If you plan to go regularly, then the monthly or yearly pass goes a long way.
Bark Social is the BEST experience for both dogs and their humans! Everyone is friendly, plus Bark Rangers make sure the place stays clean and comfortable. No detail has been forgotten by management from soundtracks to sharable snacks. We are Bark Social regulars. Every time, my dog is happy and safe while I relax. Mornings are awesome with high quality coffee and the evenings are just a great with a curated selection of local beers. It's the kind of place where you are just as comfortable going alone with your dog or with a group of friends. Highly recommend.
Very cool place. I take my poodle pretty much every day for an hour or two. She has a total blast and spends most her time chasing and being chased. Staff is very attentive and I have not had any problems with dogs being too aggressive. Even though I don't drink, I still find the monthly membership a good bargain for the exercise and pleasure it gives my dog.
Amazingly fun and unique place for dogs and people alike! Our dog has never been happier! We visited for the Grand Opening and had a blast! We loved the food options (really appreciated the vegan hummus option) as well as the adorable dog treat options. I felt really comfortable that there were staff there to keep everyone safe and watch the gate. All the guests were really understanding about all of the dogs everywhere and anywhere. There was a variety of seating options that were spaced apart well for all weather types (heaters, indoor option in the clubroom, outdoor options under a roof and in the sun, etc..) I recommend booking a membership online in advance as it was a very smooth check in process for us with paying online in advance! We can't wait to go back!
Second time update! Just as much fun as the first time! I accidentally forgot my dog's leash and collar, but the staff were very understanding and accommodating to let us borrow one. Wish we lived closer as we would go every day! Our happy place for sure!
