“My wife and I visit this place at least 1-2 times a month and we absolutely love the food! I myself work at a restaurant and I often would be confused to why people would come and eat the same thing over and over again because I'm not a regular at any restaurants until... I found Maman Joon! We even brought my parents and the in-laws and we've also turned them into one of the regulars. The chicken is always juicy and just right. Other kebab places would often serve the chicken dry, but here at Maman Joon it's always juicy and tender. The beef is our go to and my favorite! The ladies working in the front are always so nice and welcoming. The portions are huge and worth the price! We can never finish it and always end up taking it home. Also, their milkshake selection is epic and delicious! I always leave with a milkshake in my hand somehow. Lol. Their strawberry kiwi lemonade is also a must! I typically avoid lemonades since it's too sour, but theirs is just right. Their complimentary tea is good as well! Can't wait to go back!!”

“We finally made it to Mackie’s BBQ yesterday after hearing so many great things. It was a Friday night and the place was getting crowded. They have a bar and then a sitting area for dining. We chose to dine in and were able to find a seat pretty quickly. The menu has a good selection of meats and sandwiches and does not overwhelm with too many choices. We ordered the sampler which came with two selections and meat and two sides. We opted for the brisket and the pulled pork with a side of cornbread and coleslaw. The brisket was super tender and tasted amazing! By far one of the best briskets I’ve had. The pulled pork was good but would like a bit more seasoning. The cornbread is is good and is like a loaf vs crumbly, I liked this better than other cornbread I’ve had. The coleslaw was good and was not heavy on the mayo. The service was super fast and very friendly! The atmosphere was the only downside given the noise level, it was pretty loud which made it hard to talk as it got busier. We definitely will be coming back here again soon!”

“We tried out Olney station today and were not disappointed. It had a bit of a sports bar vibe but in a good way and was not overwhelming. The menu is a good mix of appetizers, salads and burgers. We ordered two burgers, the Dip and the Mushroom burger. Both burgers were perfectly cooked, but a suggestion that Medium will be pink throughout and very juicy. The burgers are very large and come with a side of fries that range from $13-16. The Dip was a burger that came with Gruyère cheese, carmelized onions, and an Espresso aioli, it was delicious! The mushroom burger came with Swiss cheese, portobello mushroom and a rosemary aioli. This was also good and the aioli really is a perfect match. We also ordered the crab poutine and it was very good, think creamy crab soup with fries! We will definitely be coming back here as soon. The staff were very friendly and the they had a great drink selection.”

The outdoor seating is plentiful and every bit as charming as the upstairs room in this house-remodeled little shop.
