Sushi Jin Next Door

The sushi was fantastic here - even better than a lot of the shops in NYC. The eel was warm when being served, comparing to other restaurants which usually serve cold eel. The raw ones were very fresh, too! Beware that the listed lunch hours is until 3 pm, but they usually locked the doors well before that - aka the last customer leaves the restaurant and loghts are off before 3 pm.

Food is good, service is nice! But only one waitress kept asking me if I was working on my food all the time! It is very annoying:-I

Very crowded and convivial, this is a new fave of mine. I had the gyozas which were really terrific. Crunchy on the outside but tender inside...cooked to perfection.

I had the vegetarian udon and the waiter accommodated adding pork which was delicious and generously portioned. The vegetables were very fresh and also generously portioned. And the broth was very tasty. Perfect!

Selection of beer was pretty good and the facility while busy was very clean. Very happy with my experience and will definitely be back!

Sushi Jin is my go-to destination for local sushi. The sushi, ramen, and other food is great. Service is great too. Only possible downside is that the small size of the restaurant limits your group size. Not a good place for more than a group of 6 people.
