Good food and good service
Quiet old world style ambiance with great food and service. This restaurant is a gem of it's own hidden next to the most powerful city of the world.
Very fancy place and excellent food. Nice place to impress a date!
I ate Sunday dinner here with my son we each ordered the early bird special. As you might imagine the crowd was a generation older than us. The food itself probably rated 4 stars, though I thought the serving size a bit on the small side. What drove my rating down was the service. I wanted to ask the waiter what was more popular between two dishes but he cut me off and said everything was popular. I clarified that I wanted to know between which of two specific dishes but he again insisted they were equally popular. It made me feel as if he were rushing our order and I was surprised I couldn't get a recommendation from him. On top of that, unlike 99% of other restaurants, he said there were no refills on sodas.
Nice fine dining Portuguese restaurant. If you want a quiet restaurant with good food and good service, try Nova Europa in the Kemp Mill Shopping Center. I most recently went there for lunch. The menu has a nice variety. You can order from the lunch specials menu and get a choice of soup or salad, an entree, coffee, and ice cream or sherbet all for $14.95. I had linguine with clams, which was delicious. They have an early bird menu as well, but the prices on their regular menu are reasonable. This restaurant has been there for decades and is still good.
