I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is!, now, as it's almost always the case with restaurant food, it's a little salty, obviously they do this to enhance flavors. They have a great lunch special under $8, and next time I'm having sashimi.
I just picked up my delivery of sushi for the first time there and I was pleasantly satisfied with my order and the quality of the dishes. I had ample amounts of ginger & wasabi.
City Taste not only enhances your culinary experience, but it raises the bar of Silver Spring dining.
City Taste brings the taste of Asia to the table. Want your "traditional" American Chinese cuisine? They have it. Sushi? They have it. Thai curry? You guessed it: They have it.
It's not uncommon now a Days to Fine one restaurant that has multiple cuisines on their menu. What is uncommon is achieving what City Taste has done. Each plate that was ordered (over multiple visits) came out very well done. What was supposed to have flavor and spice, actually had flavor and spice!
The service was quick and friendly. We were seated right away. Our glasses were never more than half empty before we received an offer to refill them. The waitstaff knew the menu items. And, everyone appeared to be genuinely happy.
This was not only a good place to go, but a good place to go back to again.
City Taste is an awesome option for Asian cuisine in DTSS. The menu is varied and covers Thai, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. The lunch specials are generous and delicious, with many of the dishes costing $10 or less and include 1-2 sides. I opted for the 3 roll sushi lunch special, and the rolls were beautiful and delicious.
I was thrilled to find Dan Dan Noodles on the menu, but I was wearing a white blouse so that wasn't an option for lunch. Fear not, I still ordered it to-go to enjoy later, and I appreciate that CT took the time to package the broth and noodles separately. This spot is relatively new and undiscovered compared to the other sushi in the area, so I'd definitely give it a try when the craving hits.
went here with a group so I not only got to see the diversity of the menu in words but on the table. the specials are great and even the entrees are super competitive with the specials prices. so many options between sushi or Chinese dishes... all the options of both a sushi and Chinese restaurant. I ordered my favorite Chinese dish and it was exactly how I like it. others ordered sushi and loved it and it looked great. the portions are great and many dishes come with a spring roll which you may not have room for if you get one of their soups to start. the atmosphere is cozy with not much seating. while we were there so many people came in to get carry out so it must be a local favorite. my only complaint is that water glasses should be refilled more often.
