I am Mexican-American from Texas who just moved to Bethesda in the last month and I was so happy that I finally found a good Latino-owned restaurant in the area! I've been missing my people over here!
The owners of this lovely restaurant tucked in a highly Central-American area of Wheaton are originally from Honduras but lived in El Salvador for some time. One glance at the menu makes it clear that this pizza place has all the classics with some added Latino-fusion options.
I tried the Pasta alla Vodka which was fantastic. However, after speaking with the waitress, I realized I should have gone with the loroco pizza. Loroco is a flower found in Central America that is often used in traditional meals like pupusas (similar to Mexican gorditas or South American arepas). It's a popular item on the menu and the waitress personally endorsed it as delicious! I definitely will have to go back to try the Loroco pizza!
Finally checked out this new pizzeria. Looks like they opened earlier in the summer. Really nice space with a big fat brick oven. The crust was next level and proved that they know the art of pizza making. So airy and chewy. This place takes their time to let the dough ferment, and it shows when you try the pizzas.
Flavors and toppings were on point with what you would expect from a reputable Neapolitan pizzeria.
We didn’t try the pastas, but saw a few served to another table. They looked fresh and homemade, but we were there for the pizzas.
Will definitely make this our new pizza spot.
I really enjoyed my delivery of Spaghetti Bolognese and Margherita Pizza. It was the best I have had in the area and the service was spectacular. I look forward to visiting in person soon.
I came here because I wanted a place that made their own pasta and I was not disappointed. Their website boasts "You Can't Beat Our Pasta." It's a bold claim, but they back it up.
When looking at the menu, keep in mind that this is one of those rare places where the food looks better in real life than in the pictures on the menu.
Very good pasta, very good pizza. And the owner and the server were both so nice and welcoming.
The mushroom ravioli was to die for! We had a party of 8, and we were all served quickly and well attended to. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
