“So my husband and I eat here quite frequently and I haven’t had the exceptional experience as when we dine at the Tyson’s location. My husband prefers the DC location. “This place is use to be called Pupuseria Maria 2, and it’s still in google maps as the restaurant. But it’s now called Pupuseria Three Friends. They’ve been open for almost a year. I was confused when looking at the old menu. I included pictures of the new menu. This place is affordable food and authentic and great tasting food. Just what I’m looking for!”

“We ordered the whiting fish sandwich with French fries. It cones with two slices of bread (white or wheat). The whiting was hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. This location maintained the same taste as the Original H&D on H Street, NE/NW. I would frequent this location back in the early 2000s when I worked off of North Capitol Street. The portions are plentiful. My husband and I shared the fish sandwich and fries. We were left full and satisfied. Only criticism is that the fries could have been cooked crispier. Next time, I will request extra crispy. Nothing worst than soggy fries. (reason for one star deduction). Otherwise, we will definitely return. I am so glad they built this location because I live in Old Town, Alexandria. This location is less of a commute than the other locations.”

“I recently tried this burger and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. The patty was char-grilled to perfection, with a nice crust on the outside and juicy on the inside. The toppings were fresh and high quality, adding layers of flavor and texture to each bite. The bun was soft and slightly toasted, holding everything together without getting soggy. The portion size was just right, not too big or too small. Overall, this burger was a true masterpiece and I can't wait to go back for another one. “I went to Mary Lou’s for the first time on Sunday for brunch and the experience was overwhelming. For one the music is WAY too loud! There was a band playing and you could barely hear yourself think. My next issue is the service, the waitress was extremely slow like she was overwhelmed as well and lastly the food 🥴 I ordered the lamb chops. I never seen such small lamb chops in my life, someone actually compared them to frog legs! I love supporting my black businesses but we have to do better.”

“This was my first time trying the food at this new place. I ordered the gyro. The cashier gave me the options to choose what kind of meat I’d like on the gyro I picked the lamb which btw is an extra 2 dollars. He asked how I wanted the meat cooked I told the cashier well done. I sat inside in one of the stools they have and after about 30 minutes of waiting which I’d like to add that the cashier told me it was gonna be a Total of 5 to 8 minute wait. No one was at the counter I grabbed the attention of a guy in the back who I think was cooking. Turns out my gyro was ready. And I had been there waiting for 30 freaking minutes. My back was facing the cash register so no one working there had the audacity to hollar at me saying my order is ready. I will also add that when I was waiting on the stools a man walked in to order and no one was at the register this man had to hollar for someone at least twice for someone to come from out the back and take his order. Keep in mind this is all around 11:40am and it’s not busy. This is not a good look. Now to my gyro. I gotta say I was disappointed. Firstly, the gyro I ordered looks nothing like gyro I see on the menu. The picture of the gyro looked more fuller with a green chilly which mine didn’t come with. Was lacking on the white sauce. My lamb wasn’t cooked well done like I asked it was still pink inside the meat. I will say tho, that the flavor of the meat was decent. Was lacking red onions. For this business to keep stable and have good reviews they need to make sure someone is at the register to take peoples orders and communicate to each other and to the customer when the food is ready! Overall I give this place a 3 star experience.”

“On our way home and decided to try out this new spot. The food was delicious!! Service was friendly and quick. We tried their deviled eggs which were great! We devoured them before I remembered to take a picture. For our meals, we ordered the Chicken and Cheese which is their version of the Philly chicken cheesesteak. It was really good!! We also had the Terrapin Burger which was their mushroom Swiss burger. Also delicious. Fries are super crispy.. all in all great experience. Will definitely be back.”

“As a company event we were treated extremely well with excellent service and prompt attention to clean up. The food was surprisingly good for a bar food type menu. We were treated to bbq wings, pulled pork sliders, pizza and tenders. All were fresh tasting and not frozen. There was corn muffins. Cesar salad and corn on the cob as sides. Again all were fresh and delicious. The bowling was a blast with our company taking 20 lanes there was room for another large group. Drinks were on point and not weak at all so be careful. The game room was cool but I couldn't add money to my card after numerous attempts. Could have asked one of the very helpful attendants but I was lazy. Really had a nice time. Great place for a large event with plenty to do to occupy your guest.”
