The guy on the front desk was great, sorry don't remember his name but he had a beard and curly mustache, he gave us a mini tour of the Inn and took us to 1 of the rooms that is believed to have had George Washington as a guest. Also the Inn isn't on a firm foundation so we were told that the building has shifted and your able to see it if you know we're to look. There are other neat and interesting facts about this place. Great find and interesting piece of history.
Very nice aesthetic and very attentive and kind staff. Good food too!
Very quaint, historic inn and tavern. Excellent rooms and restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff. Had the best soft-shell crabs there!
Atractive historical building. They have a friendly staff, and offer uniquely made foods. Prices a very good.
I booked a last minute room for a mini vacation and was seriously impressed when I arrived. The building is incredibly well preserved and kept, with appropriate and tasteful updates. The furnishings in the lobby, dining area, and guest rooms are so beautiful. The bathroom in my room was updated and really classy. (And if you care about such things, the soap bars are the best smelling hotel soaps I've ever had.) Rooms were pristine and the staff was helpful and attentive. I would recommend The Washington Inn & Tavern to anyone traveling on the peninsula. I'll be back for sure!
