My better half ordered chicken fettuccine and it was not seasoned at all..not sure they know what salt is..I ordered the Santa Fe salad..could not eat it..no dressing and the salad, I bit into something totally unidentifiable! We also ordered fries, they were very sandy..the only things good were our boneless wings, bread and drink..we will never come back to this place again!
I was taken here by a friend and I was excited about ordering a steak. Unfortunately I had to send my steak back 4 times before they "got it almost right." Won't be going back here again. The sad part is that the manager only came to our table when my steak had been returned to me and the only thing she said was "sorry about that." Won't be spending my money here ever.
Really gone downhill the past few years. It used to be packed and half an hour wait to get a table, now it's frequently near-empty. Interesting wild game selections but I got a 3-meat selection and it was horrible. Bad quality, full of gristle, overcooked, and the waitress didn't even know which meat was which. Nor did she care. Getting any service was near impossible in general.
Some pluses and minuses- first off, I like the atmosphere. They have a whole cowboy theme going on and it looks really nice. One drawback there, it is accompanied by country music so if that annoys you, you might want to stay away. Overall the restaurant is a bit dark, which I personally prefer. It tends not to be too crowded also, you can almost always just walk in, no problem.
One fun aspect is that they give you peanuts to eat for free before your meal, you can crack them and throw the shells on the floor (my kids especially enjoy that). Another free item is the hot bread they bring to your table (very good!) The food here is ok but nothing to rave about. They have wild game on the menu, although it tends to be a bit overpriced.
In summary, it's fun and the food's not bad. In terms of steakhouses, the LongHorn (also in Hagerstown) is superior though.
