Mother's day was very busy. Waitress was excellent as was all the staff. Our breakfast was huge. Potatoes were garlicky but good. French toast was to die for, eggs and sausage were great. Very quaint place.
After seeing all the great reviews I decided to give this place a try. Upon arriving the parking lot was extremely full, patrons were waiting outside. All signs leading to this being everything I hoped for. For it to be extremely packed the wait wasn’t long at all. Waited about 10 minutes. The menu has a lot of great options. I decided to try the hangover skillet. The food arrived fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the food looked much better than it actually tasted. The potatoes were hard and stale, the eggs were flavorless and tasted like they had been reheated. The avocados were fresh. Because my dish was inedible I asked for the Nutella and banana waffles which were good. My server was pleasant and attentive. However because my food seemed old I doubt I will be returning. I gave this place 3 stars because of the great service and the quick turn around.
Loved this place.
It's not cheap beach fare, or even over priced beach fare. This is more like reasonably priced gastro-pub type food
I had the buffalo burger with blue cheese, sauteed onions & peppers. It was amazing, and the right amount of house made buffalo. The hand cut fries were also totally enjoyable.
My girlfriend had an oven roasted turkey sandwich with avocado, and brie... That was just as good (but I liked my burger more).
The bartenders were well educated, and the drinks delicious. The grapefruit crush was outstanding.
This is a really unique spot--literally a barn made from reclaimed wood from other barns. The whole place is beautiful, but the upstairs is particularly breathtaking. The food and service are also top notch. I highly recommend.
We hit this place up every year we come to OC. The staff is always on point. And the menu must be kept by a chef who knows what he’s doing. The flavors work, with every entree offered. I had the spinach salad this time around. I know, salad? Yes. It was needed. Traveling, you just don’t get the proper nutrition. So this was welcomed. So good. Kids love this place. I don’t know why, every reason why they shouldn’t. Flavor town is here. Stop in and see why.
