Hemingway's At the Coral Reef

Great service (thanks Kim), great price, Nice atmosphere. During my stay, I had: crab soup, crabcake, Alfredo Pasta with shrimps, BBQ pork ribs. All of this was excellent. My Friend had steak and he was pleased with his meal. I definitly recommand this place.

People may not believe this but the best Crabcake I've had in OC was at Hemingway's. Not the biggest or best value but the best tasting. Huge lump, creamy with a hint of spice. Broiled to perfection.
I got a steak and it was cooked perfect,, nice, fresh veggies, my wife got the crabcakes and they were Amazing! They were so good, I got 2 to go. Someone at our table got the seafood pasta and it was loaded with crab, shrimp, scallops, etc.. They raved about it.
It's a weird place to dine, right next to the indoor pool, and the service, while friendly, was really slow and we were overcharged for items we didn't order, but they corrected this and bought us a drink.. The bar area is nice with large selection of beers, but the food was great and I will definitely be back

Food is great. Plus kids eat free if you are staying at the hotel. Chicken quesadillas (4) were excellent and only $11. Ate dinner with a family of five for under $30 after the tip. Can’t get any better. Plus they have a nice bar with the football game on! Wish we ate here yesterday...

Good things about this place are the seafood Alfredo. Its massive. You could feed an army and it is packed with seafood. The formal dining room with the tablecloths and decor are lovely. Downside is parking is horrible. If you vacation on the boardwalk like we do, just walk. I wasn't fond of the crab soup and the steak is frozen not a fresh cut. Yet we always have a good dining experience.
