Burley Oak is by far the best brewery in or around the Ocean City area. Especially if you are a fan of sour beers or some interesting, more uncommon offerings. It is becoming one of the main reasons for my trips down to Maryland now.
First time there. People working there were awesome. Had the quesadilla and it was really good. Food is made in front of you and is clearly fresh. Obviosly Burley beers on tap which is worth almost 5 stars on it's own. Can't give a place a 1 or a 5 after only one visit, but will be back for sure.
Wow, the Asian tacos and Rude Boy Red Ale were incredible. And the few sips of Coffee and Cream I stole from my wife's pint was really good as well! Can't wait to come back. Keep up the great work!
This is for my friend who went there, but didn't want to use her name. This is what she said.
I liked the atmosphere. The service was friendly, but slow. So don't be in a hurry. I hope you don't mind the service drinking alcohol on the job, because they were. Perhaps they were just testing out the beer or something, or about to close down after brunch.
I asked for more sausage gravy, and the server brought me some, and she also brought me a biscuit I didn't ask for. She implied it was free. When I got the bill I was charged $3 for the gravy, and also $2 for the biscuit. I paid $27 for brunch and the mimosa.. It isn't a bad place, I'd just expect better service for the price, and being charged $2 for something I didn't ask for put a bad taste in my mouth.
