Wimpy's Seafood Cafe & Market

We ate at Wimpy's twice. Once at lunchtime in the Pub and once for dinner in the Restaurant.
Both experiences were positive...good seafood and friendly efficient service. The glueton free dessert is the best I've ever had...I wonder if it is made in house or not. I'd love to know what the Baker uses to make such a light and delightful dessert....a light white cake with strawberry filling. Yummy even if you don't have to be gluten free. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Food was good. The appetizers were better than our entrees which is why only 4 stars. The French onion soup was fantastic. Had our entree been as good as the soup and appetizers would give 5 stars. Waitress was friendly and atmosphere in the tavern was nice and cozy.

What can you really say about a place like this? Warm, classic, dark, wood, locals and tourist alike. Cool, but only if you accept it for what it is... a staple of Osterville, impervious to adaptation.
Plus things cooked with butter. Yum.

Fried calamari was good. The batter could have been fried more but maybe it was because the steam from it being to go, took away the crunch. Scallops wrapped in bacon were perfect. Very cute setting.

Amazing!!!! The lobster was perfect, cooked just right! On top of great food was wonderful service. We had a waitress that made sure we had everything we needed and was very sweet. We were greeted by a guy working on the grill outside on our way in and then greeted by another great chef on the way out. First time visiting this place and I hope me and my husband get to come back again. Thank you for your outstanding service and delicious food!!!
