The Seafood Shanty

Not from New England, but didn’t do much for me. Lobster Roll would have been better with butter instead of mayonnaise. Cheese burger and fries were ok, nothing fancy, were better than the lobster roll though. Seemed clean and staff was decently nice. Don’t accept credit cards so come ready with cash, if no cash there’s an atm on site. Cool view of the water from picnic tables.

Delicious food and generous portions - really good overall. The lobster rolls had way more meat on them than average.

Dog-friendly. There’s a lot of outdoor seating where you can sit with your dog while you eat.

They don’t take credit for some bizarre reason. Normally that’s an automatic 1-star review from me - BECAUSE IT’S 2019 - but this place really is good so I’m making an exception.

So last week I visited the Cape and stopped here on the way in. Not only was the food awesome, but I lost my wallet while at the place. I discovered about an hour later that it was gone and rushed back. Found by Server Olivia, my wallet was intact along with all of my cash. Great people and great food! Thank you!!

All right, I have to say I have eaten at a lot I mean a lot of places down the cape. But without question the BEST seafood and out of this world coleslaw is at the Shanty. I pretty much make a weekly trip down there from the Bridgewater area just to get my fix. Nobody has fresher or better portions than this place. Plus the guy that owns the place is friendly and a regular guy. Easy the BEST the cape has to offer.

Delicious food????????Husband and I ordered clam plate and clam chowder. We didn’t see the OBVIOUS sign that it was cash only but they conveniently have an ATM on site. We ordered, then got the cash and by the time we finished our withdrawal, our food was done which I appreciated. Good service, too! We sat on the tailgate and enjoyed food and the weather. It definitely hit the spot after a day of fishing!
