Tired of those look-alike restaurants? Seeking that old-time "local" feel? Search no further. Marshland Restaurant and Bakery is the answer. In a small saltbox building sits a fun little gem. Two U-shaped countertops surrounded by stools are situated in the center of the floor, while a half dozen booths line the perimeter of the room. Although the restaurant is small, the menu is full of choices and the portions are hearty. Come with your friends and family and enjoy.

The food was decent. Diner setting. Very casual. I will note that the introductory service was far from impressive. I was in a party of 3 and it was at least 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged at the door and the woman who sat us was not very friendly. After we sat down, an elderly woman, and I assume her son, waited at the door for over 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The elderly woman had a cane and was probably not comfortable standing and waiting. She should have been brought to a table right away.

Awesome local breakfast place. Weekends could be more waiting period. Try to get there before 9. Love the setup and service. Enough parking space outside.

A sweet older server brought my son a soda instead of coffee then told him he ordered a soda. She was so confident and my son is sometimes shy so it was funny. She was eating lunch too, so it felt awkward to interrupt her (when she looked our way). We expected somewhat home cooked food. The food is bland, maybe canned? Awesome milkshake.

Avoid the dinners, order burgers? Sit on a stool at the bar and maybe get better service.
