Skipper Restaurant and Chowder House

Handicapped accessible although the tables are close together, but the staff will assist you I assure you. The seafood is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced considering it is in the middle of a huge tourist section of Cape Cod, the cocktails are also delicious. I'm writing this review a year later because I still remember this place. If you want the classic Cape Cod Seafood experience at reasonable prices, definitely go here.

Excellent! Awesome! Delicious! Over 4 1/2 pounds of awesome! Met an awesome group in the booth next to us and a lovely lady who quietly introduced an incredibly nice gentlemen as the original owner or one of the original owners. How cool is that! I hope I'm as fun as that group when I'm older (not too far off :-) from that). The guy holding the lobster kindly came out and helped us crack it and quite frankly, he did all the work, thankfully! What a great restaurant with a fantastic staff and such nice people all the way around. This just made our trip even better.

Beautiful location overlooking the sound and the moon was out. The nice sea breeze helps set the ambience. A good variety of breads although not a fan of the saltine crackers. The clam chowder was fantastic, as advertised. My wife got the Asian salmon, which had a sweet glaze, while I got Hurricane Bob's Scallops. The scallops were nice and tender and almost tasted like a scallop pizza. After, we could some ice cream from the attached shack. I would strongly recommend checking this place out.

As so many others have posted, the wait times can be long but the food is really worth the wait. This visit in particular for us exceeded our expectations because of our server, Elyssa. Right at the outset she asked if there were any allergies at our table that she should be aware of. As soon as we mentioned that our daughter had a dairy allergy, she became exceptionally attentive offering assistance with menu choices, etc. She really made our dinner better than we expected. Highly recommend especially if you have any diners with food allergies. We will most definitely be back!

We took a 2 hour drive from a visit to relatives north of Boston to have lunch and see the beach and environment around Cape Cod.
We were one of a few families who arrived before opening and were greeted warmly as the doors opened for business.
We went upstairs for a nice view and breeze and from there the staff took great care of us.
Our server was “a Rookie” but should be “a Pro” soon!
He made an excellent suggestion (up-well!!) for us to get the lobster dish inclusive of various shellfish. Awesome! He asked if I knew how to crack a lobster and we were so honoured to have the manager come sit at the table to prep the lobster and give us some history of the dishes. Truly a privilege, thank you!
I’m a fussy drinker that likes ales and described what I liked, so the bartender brought the perfect sample. A pint was ordered and my family and I enjoyed a genuine adventure during the meal!
Left a tip, for which I was followed after to say thanks face-to-face!

We may come back again on a 14hour drive from home just for our next meal.
