Momma Lo's Southern Style BBQ

So we're driving through GB and my son says, "I know a guy who's family opened up a BBQ joint in GB." I had no idea my car could brake that hard and locate a parking spot in one motion like that. And then I met the family....huge smiles, gracious hospitality all with Momma Lo holding court in the kitchen. You can taste the love! The pulled pork sammich was amazing. The collards and mac & cheese were exceptional, the ribs - superb. But that brisket, tho. Moist, tender, packed with flavor. OUT. OF. EVERY. WORLD. You taught the boys to run those smokers well, Momma Lo. Can't wait to see you, your family and your down home cooking again soon! A Must Stop for the Best BBQ in the Berkshires!

So happy to have a new spot in town for great eats! Ribs were awesome (after devouring every last bit of meat off the bone, my daughter exclaimed “it doesn’t even look like a rib anymore!!”). Brisket quite good. Greens and coleslaw perfect. And beautiful humans serving it all up with lots of love and pride. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends.

Seeing complaints about the prices is unfortunate… Meat is expensive! I’ve never been to a “cheap” bbq restaurant anywhere (north, south, east, or west). New Lunch Special is a great value, however, if you’re in the neighborhood between 1-4p. :)

My Husband & I stopped in today for lunch. We were welcomed with great big smiles (and hugs.... we're old friends) and the wonderful barbeque smells that beckoned from within. My husband ordered the chicken with Cole slaw and corn muffin, I got the ribs with baked beans and salad. We sat at the little table just outside their door to enjoy our small feast of Mama Lo's goodies. We were not disappointed, with anything. I REPEAT.... WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED.... WITH ANYTHING! Each item by itself.... so delicious, all together, fantastic!!
We definitely plan on returning to sample more of the menu!

Walking through the front door of this restaurant may be a portal to the south. From the ribs to the pulled pork, brisket, yams, collards it felt like eating at my grandmother’s table on Sunday. By far the best pork I have had in Mass, and the best way to celebrate my engagement. Definitely recommend to all and will be visiting this place often.
