Towne House Fall River / Douro Steakhouse

This place is outstanding! They hosted a dinner for me and were able to keep us safe and give us comfort during COVID! The food was outstanding! It was the best ribeye I have every had! The atmosphere is gorgeous! I can’t wait to go back with my husband for a date night! Perfect steakhouse!!!

A great night out, ordered the Tomahawk Steak on the menu. A great cut. Aged well and tasty, it was a tad on the small side for what I expected from $110+ steak (meat wise) but the bone was quite large and the meat was top notch. It was cooked well and the taste was there. It was big but maybe a slightly larger cut thickways would even things out. Wait staff didn't know where the Oysters were from which was troubling and they had been drained of all the "nectar" which I have come to love from local seafood, don't drain the oysters! We ordered a bottle of wine that was said to be a Portuguese wine but was actually a Merlot from Seattle, WA called Lady Hill or Lady on the Hill or Hill Lady ?‍♂️. Maybe he just didn't study the origin of the bottles in stock, it was still a great wine choice. A pleasant meal and the dining room was festive and warm, leaving everyone ultimately very happy at the end of the evening. Finished the meal with some Cheesecake flan that was a nice change from the usual flan that is on so many menus. I'd love to go back and try a few different cuts from their steak offerings and give a filet a shot. Thanks Douro Steakhouse, happy new year to you! ?

Cozy little spot.. Service was deathly slow, when they only have literally a handful of dinners in the place.
Good old fashioned, the food was great once it arrives.
Might be a great place to hang pistol covid...

There’s a new restaurant in town.. the place is really a breath of fresh air. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Definitely worth checking out (:

What a hidden gem! They're still in their early days and in soft opening phase, but it's top notch. Not only are the interiors beautiful, but they have 2 outdoor seating areas. There's an extensive offering between the different parts of the restaurant. When you read the description it may sound like a little bit of everything, but each area seamlessly transitions into the next. They've also got big plans for the second floor in the future. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. They have an incredible selection of wines for every taste.

Here's hoping they have continued success moving forward as this is a rare treat in Fall River. We will absolutely be coming back with friends and family and for future date nights.
