The Aviary

I'd rate it 5 for ambiance, 4 for service, and a 3.5 for food. Love this place for a glass of wine but really, Peanut butter and Jelly burger?? Loose that one. Not a fan.

Charming local place. Some outstanding seafood dishes - calamari were sweet, tender and lightly fried - perfection and the scallops were heaven. Forget the crab cakes which were mostly gooey bread. Nice generous pour to wine by the glass and some unusual choices like New Zealand whites. Worth exploring. Wonderful service staff!

What a surprise of a jewel! We were driving around running errands when we decided to find a place for lunch. Good old Google turned up this place... And we'll be back. We sat outside and ordered up a baked brie to share, then some sandwiches for each of us. What a delicious meal! The food was fresh, prepared in an interesting manner, and served with friendly staff. Even the restroom was clean and appealing. Great experience.

The a aviary is a cute pretty and lovely place to go. I think is better for dates and meetings, not that good for the whole family. Prices are normal for a pretty restaurant (like 20 per person) but it worth the experience.

I wasn't quite happy with my meal and was highly disappointed with the lobster mac and cheese. I wasn't fond of how there were very large chunks of lobster, so the mac and cheese had more of a watery consistency beneath the top layer. I couldn't taste much of the cheese, but it was cooked to the right temperature.

I do enjoy the ambiance here and the place is gorgeous at night with all of the lighting and fires going. I would like to give them another try, possibly for brunch.
