Boat House Grille Essex

This place consistently delivers good food and drinks. I've been here at least 10 times, and I've been happy every time. The downside is that the place can get busy, I would love to see them expand the bar area to take over the waiting area or expand the side wall on the back side of the bar. I think they could really benefit from 6-10 more high tops.

Ate lunch here in July and it was unexpectedly the most enjoyable seafood restaurant experience I've had in ages. The oysters on half shell were fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. The highlight for me was that he calamari and mussels were cooked perfectly. This is tough to really nail so I see it as a sign that the kitchen staff is skilled.

Great food! We stopped here on Sunday afternoon for lunch. The prices were so reasonable! Very good sangria. Our server was awesome and very attentive. Haddock dinner was really good. They have a lot of choices on their menu so it was hard to decide what to get. We'll be going back to try the other things on the menu very soon!

I ate here a couple weeks back with my mother and kids after visiting the Wolfs Hollow Sanctuary ( awesome experience). Good food and great portions. One of the best tasting pastrami sandwiches I have ever eaten. A must stop if in the area at Crane Beach, Wolfs Hollow, or just cruising down Essex
