FANTASTIC !! When we left for vacation that was a spot I wanted to hit. It did not disappoint in any way. People were very nice, the food was amazing. Had the seafood combo, worth every penny !!!
Have been going here since my father's childhood. Food is still amazing and consistently delicious. Best fried clams ever! Great view of the river to enjoy as you eat as well. Such a great spot in New England!
My wife has a really hard time finding a place that can make good fried fish gluten and dairy free. J.T. Farnham's can, and she was thrilled. Went back the next day and got some more. My regular clams were fresh and crispy, and the fries are great just by themselves.
A tasty lobster roll at a great price ($20, incl. a small side). Can't get it hot but they'll do drawn butter on the side and hold the mayo. Not one of the best I've had but still quite good. Onion rings were a little chewy but still tasty. Pretty good selection of beer in bottles. Nice service.
I wasn't really impressed, frankly, with a lot of this places food. The chowder was lackluster, and expensive for both the size and quality. However, the fried clams where incredible and this saved an unremarkable restaurant from a 2 star rating.
I was not overly impressed with the friendliness of the staff, nor the cleanliness of the establishment, they weren't terrible by any means but certainly did not impress me at the cost and the number of awards on the wall.
I would recommend this to: Honestly I guess adult groups that are small and really like clams over other dishes?
I would not recommend this too: families (seating is tight.), Folks on a budget, anyone who likes chowder and plans to eat that, and those with a hesitancy towards fish (everything tastes like fish, even if it's not fish)
