“Jim's Kabob has been a staple in Lawrence for many years and you can't be the family run business where they all cook. Hands down, their most popular dish is the steak, cheese and salad wrap and you have to get their hand cut fries. Fridays, you get their fried or baked haddock which is a HUGE portion. And their Arabic food is amazing. Tons of specialty sandwiches and dinners and it's all handmade from scratch. Highly recommend them to all!”

They have 2 staff members working generally and they are focused on the drive thru. I won’t be back until they staff appropriately. “A childhood favorite of mine. The exteriors of the building, as well as the decor in the inside, do not do this charming little place justice. The woman in the kitchen has been cooking since they opened, and if anything were to happen to her the restaurant would have no anchor. She’s akin to a Korean grandmother, who is always excited to see you and make you a warm meal. There isn’t enough that I can say about the food at the Garden House. Upon being placed on your table straight from the kitchen, the dishes are beautiful. They taste just like Grandma makes them (if she’s Korean, of course), and I don’t doubt for a second that there’s great care and genuine love in every dish this restaurant serves. Just like a standard Korean meal, you’re greeted with your main dish alongside a classic banchan, the many little dishes that Korean food is known for. A part of me also loves this restaurant by association. My mother was Korean, and every so often on a rainy spring Saturday when I was a child she would take me out to the restaurant to greet the cook and share lunch. It’s a small fraction of my life, but I do consider a piece of this restaurant my home. I still take my sister here when she’s had a bad day at school or when she misses her mom. My hope is that new customers can come in with their friends and family and feel that same comfort and eventual familiarity that I do. There’s so much that this little restaurant can offer, and I want to share my passion for it.”

What a huge difference in the last time I was there. No one wanted to take my order. They just kept walking around conversing avoiding eyecontact. Rude!!! The pizza was barely warm, tough crust..dry cheese and we couldn't find the sauce. It was old. Sat around for a long while for sure... It just sucked. Really..it was ???? This proves one thing....the better employees were not working tonight”
