The Little Store is under new owners, italian food delicious, fresh. The server Valentina was fantastic. Loved the experience.
We were looking for a place to have lunch in Marblehead and happened to be driving by The Little Store as it popped up on Google. The 4.8 star rating told us to stop and give it a try. We were wonderfully surprised! A small (neatly set tables for up to 16/18 diners) out of the way gem in a residential section of town, definitely worth a visit!
We selected the minestrone soup and the Italian sandwich. Fresh vegetables served in a very favorable warm broth which preserved the vegetables' crispness. The Italian could not have been better served on a warm lightly toasted ciabatta wedge with ample fresh meats (5), roasted peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc., etc.
We were nicely greeted by Joao who also took very good care of us.
Overall, a definite find and will return next time in the Marblehead area.
Just had the best Italian sub of my life!!! My brother had the cheese steak and cannot stop talking about how good it was!
A+
Same awesome food as b4! Plus some new tasty treats!
So The LS was a staple for years. It was the go to spot for a perfect sub and good value with meat falling out of it. I couldn't wait for it to re-open. Along with my teenage daughter, we were excited to return for a sub. We were pleased but there were a few let downs. The expanded menu is great. The addition to hot foods and fried food is a welcome addition. I do like having a seat as well if you want to eat in. What was disappointing was the sub was light on the turkey. Not the outstanding value it once was. The bread was fresh, it tasted good but there just wasn't a lot inside. Also, gone are the variety of chips in medium and large bags so if you are packing for the day, you may have to go elsewhere for drinks and will certainly have to if chips are mandatory (as it is for us) and you just can't do with those tiny sample bags they have. No flavored chips, and not Doritos. Ugh!
So there are some improvements but service was slow (like 10 minutes to make 2 subs and we were first to the register) but lacking the value and the extras it didn't tick off all the right boxes. The community store has got great choices, good value and lots of extras to choose from when you want a cookie, chips, Doritos or just about anything for your day out.
