    The cottage creamery is a great place to take the heat off a minute the beach.

    It's connected to the Cottage Island Market and has limited outdoor seating, but is in a perfect location arriving at or leaving from Plum Island Beach.

    Try the Conconut Chip with Almond Joy!

    The girls were super sweet, very engaging with my little ones!
    Ice cream was amazing. Outdoor seating was super cute.
    My only complaint is that the cookies for the Sandy sandwiches were crunchy rather than soft, definitely not what I expected lol, but delicious none the less!
    We will be back!

    I’ve been visiting Newburyport more frequently the last few years and came across this awesome Ice Cream joint out on Plum Island in 2017 and won’t go anywhere else since! They have tremendous variety, flavorful frappes AND unique treats like The Sandy - fresh ice cream sandwiches between two donut slices. Just EPIC. If you find yourself on Plum Island and in need of ice cream this summer ..blow off the chains or cookie cutter competition and visit these guys! Charlie and staff are super friendly and will take care of ya! Your sweet tooth will thank you...,

    Wow what an experience! Staff was professional and as nice as can be! Ice cream was amazing and so many different flavors to choose from. It’s a little out of the way but we’ll worth the drive. Nothing like a Sandy and a Plum Island sunset!
