Get the Alvah Stone Feast. Best bang for buck, food was off the hook. They'll honor food restrictions and the food comes super fast. Was great to spend a birthday dinner here
Alvah stone is a reminder that fantastic curated dining experiences can exist outside of large cities. The cocktail menu was very enticing, consisting of timeless classics and bold originals alike. Their draft list covered all bases, and they had a premium selection of wines. Overall the bar program was on point. My girlfriend and I chose to sit outside, which has a stunning view of the river. It seems to be built from the husk of an old Mill, adding a lovely rustic feel to the whole experience. Our server was knowledgeable and patient. I really wanted to try their Alvah stone feast, four courses (chef's choice), but my girlfriend didn't want to. It seemed like the best value at 39 per guest. Plates were small but forced you to consider every bite. The salmon tartare and gnocchi were delectable. We finished with the steak which was the best steak I've had in the 413. Overall thanks for helping me cap off the perfect date. Take your loved one here if you want to show them you care.
Beautiful restaurant that serves delicious food made from scratch with high quality ingredients. We went for the Easter brunch and loved both our starters and mains. A highly recommended stop definitely if you combine it with a visit to the bookstore in the same building.
This is a place to go for a dining experience. It starts with the amazing setting, right on the river in an old mill with beautiful exposed woodwork. The food is what you will remember though. We had the Alvah feast which meant we were served many different dishes, some of which I thought I wouldn't like, but everything was delicious. Some of the pleasant surprises: raw salmon with potatoes and a lime coconut sauce, a roasted eggplant dish, and a potato puree that was sinfully buttery and smooth.
For the valley it is a bit pricey but for fine dining, which it is, it is very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed, I fit in with a short sleeve dress shirt.
For a memorable dining experience, go to Alvah Stone.
The food here is so good. Everything on the menu is worth eating and the staff is great. I have been coming since it opened and it just keeps getting better each year. Keep up the great cooking!
