Always love finding a mom and pops place. The food is filling and delightful and the staff are always beyond courteous. I'm from Utah and my husband and I drive truck. This is our usual place to park and do our reset at when in the area of Massachusetts. The showers are a bit odd and can be uncomfortable unless you don't mind the high school gym kind of setting showering in a stall in the bathroom all the customers use. The nice thing is they're only $4 if they even charge you which I've never had to pay so I just go later at night when its died down. Not many trucker women to use it so I have to say that it's not very clean though. I definitely wear my shower shoes and steer clear of touching the walls or sitting near on the bench. The one time a spider of a rather large size was posted above the shower head and I'm not tall so I had a very uncomfortable shower this time trying to splash water to get it down to kill it. The bathroom stalls I'll add need some serious TLC and from this trip to my previous one of 4 mo ths prior there were still mounds of dirt around the back side of the toilets. So it does have me wonder how clean anything else is where food is cooked if they can leave the restroom area 4 months or longer filthy dirty. A+customer service and food taste price and amount but an F- for cleanliness of showers and bathrooms. Thanks guys
Just so the rest of this post makes sense, the request to fill out the survey below came after I posted a three-star rating but no review.
I have been patronizing this establishment for more than 40 years, off and on. Not particularly often, but steadily. It has never been truly outstanding, but it has never been worse than mediocre. It has been owned/operated by a number of different people or companies during that time. I'm basing my current 3-star rating on the fact that it has been better in the past; were I to base it solely on my last visit, it would get no more than two stars.
My most recent visit was late at night, with three companions. The service was friendly but slow, the food was mediocre, and the prices on the late-night menu are extremely high. It's not awful, and at least they are always open, and depending on where you are, it may be the closest reasonable option.
I would say that I will post a revision after I visit during the daytime, but to be honest that is very unlikely. There are better choices available during the day.
Great place with good service.
I never see a small truck stop which has free shower and parking without any purchase!
The place may not look awesome but it has excellent service.
Food was decent, parking seems to fill up early. By 6pm there was hardly nothing for truck parking. Had to make a spot. Convenient Store very very small, but had just about everything you would need there. Staff pretty friendly and quick. I ordered a omelette from the diner, and had a slight burnt taste. would stop here again.
My girlfriend took me here on a date night because she knows all to well how I love diner food and this place killed it. The fish and chips were delightful, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the fried chicken was perfectly golden brown and crispy. The nachos were a sleeper hit and were a great start to our food.
