Munich Haus is an interesting place. It is wildly popular and always draws a crowd. Their German beer selection is generally good. The food is hit-or-miss. I've had great take out (someone else's leftovers) on several occasions. However, every time I, personally, ate there, I was mildly disappointed. The food has never been awful, but I wouldn't consider the quality of the fare to match the quality of the venue. Service for small groups (less than 4) seems to suffer. I suppose this is understandable, but it's something to consider before going here. If you like authentic German beer, and mostly authentic German food you will probably enjoy this place.
Munich Haus is the real deal. Having spent significant time in Germany, this restaurant would not be out of place in Munich or Berlin itself. The atmosphere is not hot air: really good schnitzel, spaetzle, wurst, pretzel, and beer are to be found here. Service is efficient and friendly.
We were visiting Massachusetts from Canada last week and we loved this restaurant so much we went back before we left! The place is quite big and has German style decor and most importantly I don't think there is a bad table in the house. They're nicely spaced and comfortable! The beer menu is heaven if you like good European beer on tap! The food is absolutely delicious and we tried a lot of it! The wait staff is even more fantastic! We had different servers both nights but both were very attentive in regards to my dairy allergy. The chef was just as attentive! This is SO rare because most restaurants don't really care or make note of it and then I end up with a meal I can't eat. Or worse, I end up sick. (At a different restaurant, I was once brought a steak covered in butter and when asked why it had butter on it the server said it was "only a little.") So THANK YOU so much for two nights of incredible food and a wait staff that I had complete confidence in.
I will admit to not being a fan of German food. Well, that is the past! Wow!!! I enjoyed this meal as much as any I have ever eaten. We didn’t have a reservation on Mother’s Day and yet they found a table for our party of five in this crowded restaurant. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was spectacular! I will definitely return!!!
Oh man it was soooo nice. We tried the escargot (snails) and it was delicious! It was in a shallot cream sauce with mushrooms. I didn't really like my dinner, rabbit lamb and pork, but my husband loved his, the schnitzel platter. We did get the appetizer sampler with the fried cheese, pickles, potato pancake etc. I thought it was alright but my husband loved it. A bit expensive, but a great experience
