Great place for cross country skiing and maple syrup
Very friendly and informative. Family friendly. Great for syrup, fruit butters, candies. Breakfast served on weekends in season.
Good seasonal maple syrup time for breakfasts and sugar fix. Friendly service. Can see syrup being boiled.
We went for the breakfast, which was amazing. Great pancakes, French toast, and bacon with their own fresh syrup. We also bought maple sugar candy, which was delicious. Then we took a tour of their sugarhouse, and someone took us around and showed us the different steps in the process of making the syrup. Very interesting and educational. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful.
Checked this place out for some cross country skiing. It sits at about 1500 feet so they get snow here when it's raining elsewhere. They have laid out some nice trails through their sugarbush. Just be aware that you have to ski downhill from the lodge to get to the woods trails which means an uphill ski at the end of your day. But it's worth it- some beautiful rolling trails through the trees. The owners and their sons are inviting and happy to talk about the farm and its operation. This is a nice place to ski, tucked away in the hills of western Mass. And when you are done for the day, you can relax by the fire with a plate of their pancakes or French toast with the syrup they make at the sugar shack across the road.
