Granny’s Baking Table

I love this place and I go there as often as I can. It's pretty much the only place I'll actually get lunch to eat in these days, some things are worth even braving a pandemic.

Best pies in the Springfield area, and a wonderful variety of other pastries, sandwiches, and other things. Seriously, how many places hand-make their own croissants? Oh yeah, and they have CHOCOLATE FILLED croissants. If I can get one of those, it makes my day.

Their lunch menu has a steady assortment of delicious salads and sandwiches. Tried 'em all. Would order any of them again..

I'm eating a slice of a Smore's pie right now that is so delicious that it's probably illegal in ten states. Last summer my family wound up eating a lot of pie because I was dead-set on trying to emulate their pie crust....

I have stopped in to grab a coffee and pastry a few times at Granny’s in the past few years. Each time I have felt welcomed and I leave with a delicious treat. I also wanted to share a story. I ordered a pumpkin pie during the holiday season last year (side note: my mouth is watering thinking about that pie). I got a reminder call from Granny’s that morning for pick up and realized I wouldn’t be able to get there in time. My husband did not want to miss out on that pie. So he called back and explained our dilemma. Granny’s stayed 45 minutes after close to get us that pie! They said they’d wait an hour and if we couldn’t get there in time, they’d donate the pie to a shelter or someone who could enjoy it for the holidays. Truly amazing people. The pies are great, the people even better!

Some of the best pastries western mass has to offer. Excellent selection, almost all of which I've had after being a regular since they opened. Every slice is pie is the best slice of pie I've ever eaten. French pastries to die for. The Kouign Amann is legitimately the best baked good I've ever eaten in my life. If you ever are near Springfield, this place is easy to get to off of 91 or 291, and 100% always worth it. Some top notch people own and runs this place too, get into it.

I am always thrilled with my Granny’s purchased. I tend to go for the sweet stuff rather than meals. I usually get a cookie and some sort of scone. They’re always delicious. Yesterday I tried the bread pudding. It was totally AMAZING!!! I wish I had bought 2 of them!! Now that I think about it, I once tried the made from scratch (everything is) monkey bread, because my daughter wanted it. That also blew me away. Only the highest recommendation for Granny’s. Don’t miss it!!

I discovered this place only a few months ago and it was one of the best parts of 2020! The owners are very friendly and the food is fantastic. Definitely try the grit cups for breakfast and one of their signature sandwiches for lunch! Pour-over coffee is also really great quality and always made perfectly. I am excited to try all the menu items moving forward. Plenty of on street parking.
