The food was amazingly delicious. I will definitely be back to try the other meals.
Authentic West African fare made deliciously accessible to all. Though heaviły influenced by the Nigerian owner's native cuisine, the menu well represents West African popular dishes. There are even a couple of African diaspora inspired items, like jerk chicken, on the menu. The suya (kind of like a shish ke bab) and jolof rice are particularly good for less adventurous diners. The pepper soups are delictably spicy. If you are brave soul, ask the chef not to tone down the heat.
There is typically only one chef at a time on staff, so you may experience a longer wait than usual at times. You may want to ask the waiter what can be prepared quickly if you are short on time. Speaking of the waiters, most are local college students. I was presently surprised to find a red haired Caucasian American waitress as fluent and familiar with the cuisine as if she were a native West African.
This was one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time. The menu has so many great options that make you want to keep going back. The owner came out to say hi to us which added a personal touch.
Best food love the place
Great food that was a completely authentic West African home cooked meal. Brought back memories of the year I spent in West Africa. Highly recommend to anyone!!
