Fast, tasty, cheap. Good custom pizzas. Haven't tried anything else from them yet
Fantastic service. The eggplant parm sub was tasty but a little cold. I would absolutely come back again for a quick and inexpensive lunch.
Haven’t been in years, but it used to be good so probably still is? Dude was always trying to get me to try the chicken, but we always just got a pizza. Good pizza.
Pizza Review
Background: I am from Brooklyn, NY. My pizza standards are high, but my expectations are low in this geographical area.
Bottom line: Solid option, especially if you live nearby. Not gonna knock your socks off, but good pizza for the value. If they're consistent, that's even better.
Breakdown:
I ordered a large cheese pizza for pickup. $12. I arrived promptly.
The pizza was hot and ready when I arrived. The people there were nice enough. No complaints there.
The crust was only mildly charred on the bottom, but not that crispy. It might be that the oven just doesn't get that hot. And lower temperatures often lead to greasier pizzas, and this was no exception, but it was still totally fine. Not a dripping mess by any means. Overall, not bad.
The sauce was good enough. Not too sweet, but it didn't leave an impression on me. At least there wasn't too much of it. I think it's fine, especially for the price. Same with the cheese. It hadn't really browned, so it still had a pretty straightforward milky flavor, but the texture was there.
I'm willing to try this place again in a pinch. Consistency is what will really make Northender shine in my eyes. It might be a solid mid-tier option, above the low-tier chain joints, but not quite at the level of a more expensive pizza establishment.
I give it 4 stars. To be clear, I tend to reserve 5's for places that go above and beyond the call of duty and impress me in some way. But hey, I was satisfied. Definitely worth $12, and they even have coupons on their site.
My favorite local spot, killer vegetarian and Hawaiian pizza. Great stuff. Personally I didn't really like the cheese steak sandwich or the chicken wings, but that might be because I'm used to a different style of those in California. But Pizza totally rocks. Oh yeah and lasagna was really good too!
