This is my favorite place for Eritrean/
Ethiopian food in greater Boston. Their honey mead is especially notable— homemade, unique and pairs beautifully with whatever you order. All the veg dishes are flavorful, the spices are well-balanced and the portions are generous. The service is competent and speedy when you need it.
I ordered the meat combination and the chicken was amazing! The lamb and the beef would've tested great of they've selected tender meat. The kitchen closes around 8:40pm. Tasted honey wine which was almost like a dessert wine. Service was great!
So glad we gave Asmara another chance! Already planning my return 😌 The Waitress held down a solo service which saw a nice turn. She was kind, friendly and so welcoming. Definitely helped to ease the tension of a heavy day. We'll for sure be back!
What can I say about such pleasant and clean place? The staff is friendly, the food is very tasty - mind blowing! Good portions, fair price. Comfort food.
I’m in love with this place and the way the restaurant is maintained!
Easily one of my favourite restaurants in the Boston area. Amazing food, great portions for a good price, and even if you stuff yourself full of food, you don't get the stone-stomach because the food is light. Their mixed platter is amazing; pair that with some honey wine and some Eritrean coffee, and your evening is a happy one. Waitress is always very welcoming and friendly and always good for a laugh. Great place; if you don't go, you're a fool.
