Darwin's Ltd. - Putnam Avenue

Quaint and the sandwiches are delicious. Good for a medium sized appetite.

So-so coffee and drinks, limited lunch options compared to ex Petsy Pies. Slow sporadic wifi and awful loud music. Used to be one of my favorite place to work for a couple of hours. Not anymore, unfortunately.

I eat lunch here most days. I call my order in ahead of time and its always ready and waiting for me. They have never messed up an order of mine. I get a sandwich or the soup of the day (rotating selection) almost everyday. I have also tried their coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Everything has been delicious. Service is always quick and friendly. I hope they join the other Darwin's locations soon and add the ability to order online!

UPDATE: For the past couple of weeks there hasn't been any soup available when I call to ask what they're serving that day. Its not easy to find a good, light lunch (that isn't salad). I hope they bring the soup back!

UPDATE, AGAIN: They never brought back the soup, but the sandwiches are solid and the service is consistent.

A cute place. Coffee was underwhelming-but I am a die hard dark roaster and hip coffee shops seem to always prefer more acidic ones.

Good breakfast options, not great for a vegan though. Portions are small but you're not particularly overcharged for them. Great place to come get some morning work done.
