Fantastic and historic pizza joint right in Harvard Square. Square Sicilian slices are highly recommended; not too many seats inside so it would be best to go during off-hours or take-out and eat nearby (if the weather is nice enough).
Best slice I've had in Cambridge and up there for best in Boston with Galleria Umberto.
It’s a no frills space with lots of locals and little to no wait - we were in and out with slices in under five minutes.
Pinocchio’s specialize in Sicilian style, so deep-dish or thick-crust pizza - grandma’s style. They also have thin-crust Neapolitan but we didn’t have the time to give any of those a try.
We had a tomato & basil and a classic pepperoni an both were incredible. Packed with flavor, good balance of oil, fresh basil and cheese.
Overall a great experience, phenomenal pizza and the guys behind the register were great. There’s a reason Pinocchios has been here for decades and it’s not going anywhere.
I love the pizza here, especially the Sicilian pizza. For those that don't know Sicilian pizza is pizza made in a baking pan so it's a thicker crust and honest the crust to sauce to cheese ratio is on point. This is easily in my top 3 pizza place
Came here after a night out downtown, and the pizza does hit the spot. It’s open until 3am and it’s super close to campus, so you know that you’ll always see people there. It’s 2 for $6.90 for any two slices of pizza, so buddy up or just come hungry. There’s a $7 minimum for credit cards. There’s water cups and a water dispenser to the left of the register. It’s a bit messy but who cares when all you want is some greasy, hot pizza. I got the white pizza with chicken and the cashier was kind enough to get the corner piece as I had specified. He still had a sense of humor at 2:30am and cracked a joke as we checked out, so that was nice. The square pizzas were a novelty to me but it had a good proportion of cheese to crust. This was apparently one of Mark Zukerberg’s favorite spots as well, and I can see why it would be a college student hangout. Overall it’s cheap, it’s tasty, and definitely not healthy, but it’s open late so who really cares about calories when you’re hungry after clubbing.
