Russell House Tavern

Definitely one of the nicest places in Harvard Square. All of our dishes were excellent. Don’t know why but we decided to start with french fries as an appetizer. They were hot and fresh and tasty. Having both ketchup and aïoli as sides is a nice touch. I had the faro bowl with salmon and it was a very generous portion. The salmon was a bit rare, so if you don’t want a little bit of sushi in your bowl, be sure to tell them. Hillary, our server, was excellent and attentive. We didn’t feel rushed and we were never wanting for anything. Will definitely go back.

This place is a must go to place. The menu in my opinion has been redone and the half chicken I had recently was unbelievably good. Good food, good beverages, good service and good desserts. Desserts. You must try the Russell House tavern, I have nothing but good experiences whenever I go there by myself or with friends so you must check this place out. Absolutely worth the money. The wait staff is very good and very friendly and they take care of you. Very good.

Stopped in for brunch after staying in Cambridge for an event. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was very good also. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

Waited 20 minutes before a waitress gave us water and greeted. Water glasses were dusty. Waited another 10 minutes. No help. It turns out our waitress left and swapped with someone else. I already give up. We're getting our apps and going somewhere else.

Big team here and but they're busy chatting and not tending to business.

Their raw oysters are from the Cape and are delicious as heck. The brunch is as others have described, plentiful options and all well made; they also have a relatively small but honed selection of dinner options. Our waiter was a lot of fun!
