Rolls are OKeyish but avocado salad is a disgrace to Japanese cuisine.
Just a bad overall experience. My toddlers are picky eaters, so we grabbed them happy meals to eat while we did hibachi with our family from out of state. We ordered, then the manager came out and told us that while it's fine this time, next time, we can't be bringing in happy meals for the kids. I paid for the appetizer and drink and left a tip, but cancelled our order and left. I explained that perhaps a sign on the door is needed, requesting no outside food. I've never had a problem with this at any other restaurant. It would have been nice to enjoy a nice family meal. I could've had my kids eat their happy meals first, but given their ages, they would've been difficult to occupy at the restaurant while we tried to eat. I was trying to save everyone a headache, including the staff. Or maybe we just don't go out to eat for the next 5 to 10 years. Honestly, it probably could've saved everyone some discomfort if they had just waited to approach us until after we finished eating.
Of what I tasted with the sushi appetizer I ordered, the other review about it being mediocre is 100% accurate. Wish I could've had a review of the hibachi.
Maybe the hibachi is good? The sushi isn’t.
My party just came for sushi. We were met with a poor attitude from the hostess. There were plenty of open tables but got denied due to not having a reservation. We ended up sitting at the bar. They only have one Japanese beer on tap and it ran out after one pint.
I’ve had better sushi from a grocery store. This place is gross. They mash up the fish and cut it with tempura in their rolls to extend their product. No use of roe on anything. My spicy tuna wasn’t. When I returned it, they made me a new one and slathered it in “spicy mayo”. The wasabi was weak and obviously stale.
