Really cozy European pub vibes inside.
We were pleased with the outdoor dining option-- it's even viable while snowing, which it was, but it really was nice. (There was a heater under the table and the umbrellas had us well covered but some snow did blow in on us.) I had the potato rosti and the pretzel and enjoyed both. The restaurant adds a 20% tip by default. Public parking is available right outside, if you can snag a spot.
Hearty food, awesome beer, great vibes. The warm, slightly salty bretzel was my favourite! I am not usually a beer person but quite enjoyed a lager that the server recommended (the most popular beer on the menu). Schnitzel was a tad dry but had a great mushroom sauce. The sauerkraut braised pork was tasty. Portions are big but are a tad pricey. Excellent service and interesting atmosphere.
We rolled in with 20ish people on a Thursday night after Ax throwing across the street. Service and food was great! There is a good amount of off the street public parking here too.
Just OK. snitzel was OK. Sausage was unique and good. The bartender (Amy maybe) was awesome and very friendly. I'd go back and give em another shot.
This place has a hipster crowd and great atmosphere. The German beer list is incredible and vast! Loads of digestifs to end on. I haven't eaten here... But the food looked and smelled amazing. Will definitely be back.
Edit: I HAVE eaten here. It’s magic. Please bring back the kielbasa!
