Banh Mi Cafe

Delicious Bahn Mi and Yakult drink! The classic cold cut is my go to. The bread is fresh and that secret Bahn Mi sauce is chiefs kiss 🤌🏽. 100/10 would eat everyday.

Quaint little cafe for take out. Decent Vietnamese coffee and a good banh mi. My criticism would be that the steak needs to be warmed up... cold steak was eh. Crepe is fairly small, but was good. Not on par with a miss M, but then again it's not priced as such. Everything was great and priced reasonably! Small counter for quick bites but don't expect to eat there.

The shrimp spring roll was excellent. The dipping sauce was yummy and not spicy, perfect for kids. The classic cold cut banh mi got devoured as well. Loved the beef rice bowl, it was topped with a fried egg. And the bubble milk tea was legit 👍

Anyone claiming to be a sandwich fanatic would know that the Vietnamese-take with their banh mi is a flavorful rainbow tickling just about everything on your tongue and the right amount of textural differences that excites the culinary palate. So as obvious my bias is to the banh mi, I've been quietly awaiting their soft opening to try at least two sandwich before eventually ordering their whole menu over a span of a week or a month. I visited at the later part of the day on the final leg of their soft opening and ordered two banh mi to-go just to visually watch how their team worked together amidst an unexpected rally of customers repeatedly entering the doors (wow - there are a lot of people who love a good sandwich - surprise...surprise).

There are definitely a lot of growing to do BUT they are handling it quite well. I'm sure they will figure it out as each day progresses so let's talk food, which is always what really matters.

Size...is pretty generous and the banh mi is *stuffed* all the way.
Bread had both the crunch and the chew.
Meat - both beef and chicken - were salty, sweet, and succulent - WIN!
Garnishes were tart, sweet, and bouncy on the bite - WIN again.
Jalapeños were not remotely having any heat - unexpected.
Can't wait to be back again.

Still my favorite "sandwich" and glad it's even more accessible with their location in Watertown. Welcome and best wishes for 2024!

Having eagerly awaited the grand opening since spotting the 'coming soon' sign, I can wholeheartedly say this place exceeded all expectations. I got the classic cold cut and grilled beef banh mi, each bite was a flavor-packed journey. The classic cold cut was a burst of flavors with its crispy baguette and assorted cold cuts, while the grilled beef banh mi was a delightful blend of lemongrass-grilled beef, fresh veggies, and a satisfying kick from the jalapeno. Highly recommend!!!
