Amazing staff, a lot of variety of sushi’s. I enjoyed the service it was pretty fast. It was my first time trying this restaurant, would I come back ? I probably won’t as it was really “great quality food” to me personally. But definitely worth trying at least once.
Fun place to enjoy sushi at an affordable price.
After watching short clips of this place on social media, my friend and I recently took a visit to try the only revolving sushi bar in the Greater Boston area. Before the visit, we checked the live wait time on their app and were able to grab a table without a wait.
As expected, the overall quality of the sushi wasn’t so great, but there were still quite a few dishes we liked. Seared scallop, negitoro, sweet shrimp, squid, and salmon were among my favorites, and the process to re-order these on the screen was quick and easy. However, some of the sushi on the revolving bar seemed a bit dry, so I would recommend manually ordering them from the screen for a better experience.
It’s a great experience. They usually have a long waiting line but if you come at the right time (weekend lunch) there’s no waiting. All the waiters are extremely friendly and not to mention the ‘robot server’ that comes to your table to deliver drinks. They have a great amount of sushi variety. The only downside is the quality of sushi, which seems to be on the rotate belt for a while. The price were great, which was $3.5 per plate. They also have the gashapon for every 15 plates you order. We enjoyed it.
It was an experience coming to Kura. Although it was not one of my first rotating sushi places, it was also nothing too special. I guess if you come during the right time when they have a good toy theme for that month you’ll want to eat more than 15 plates. There were some good options and I especially enjoyed the Kinako I believe its called. It’s like a jelly with peanut dust sprinkled all over. Its refreshing and delicious and sweet. The robot server for drinks was also cute. Overall, it was a nice experience to try but I probably wouldn’t come back.
The staff was great and attentive. The food was well worth the $3.30 per plate. You can find the same quality of fish selection for twice the amount at other sushi restaurants. It's a fun experience hunting for the plates you want or you can just always order it off the screen at your table. Give it a try if you're in the area or make it a special night with a partner or the family!
