Very good cozy Chinese restaurant. Good food, good service, and a comforting area.

I read a post on here who gave them a one star rating.😕 With the understanding it was a very important holiday, Valentine's Day. ALL restaurants if opened are CRAZY BUSY that evening/ night.
I made reservations at a different posh type restaurant. We didn't get seated at our table until an hour later. Non issue because we knew it was going to be busy. Owner operator coming to the table with gratitude and appreciation and apologies to several tables. With the UNDERSTANDING and patience of knowing it's a very busy Valentine's dinner night.

Sir, ( I use that loosely) when ordering your meal you should have said for PICK-UP!! Meaning...You should have driven your sorry sack to the restaurant and picked up the food yourself on such a crazy night.

I've been going to Hunan Kitchen for the past 9 years. My only small issue unknowingly, was once two or three years ago. When I ordered a pick-up meal. I picked up my dinner and headed home. My phone rings, I was pulling into my driveway. It was the owner calling me to tell me they forgot my egg rolls!!?? He asked for my address and drove them to my house. Talk about customer service!! I was shocked and pleased and we smile more knowingly when I do order a pick up meal. I'm in the hospitality field myself and knowing​ that people go above and beyond daily to provide a service amazes me. When others that should don't.
Hunan Kitchen is a gem. Thanks for all you do. In fact I'm ordering tonight that's why I saw that post.

General Tso's was amazing! The pork fried rice, duck sauce, and free tea was all great as well. I definitely recommend this place to everyone as it is my new favorite Chinese place.
