Campanale's Restaurant

Good food, good service, quiet dining room.
Reasonable prices. Parking on the street inly.

We returned to Campanale's after many years. It had been completely refurbished, the bar was active, and the food was still good. They specialize in Italian food, although there are some standard beef and fish dishes too. I had the homemade lasagna and my husband chose the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was the chef's own recipe, and delicious. We each had a basic side salad beforehand. We were impressed by its freshness and size for the $4 price. The lasagna was $20, but the serving was large, and I took half of it home. The spaghetti and two large meatballs was $14. My husband ate it all! We did not order dessert because we were full, but the the rich looking samples in the glass case looked tempting. Another time! Our waitress was the chef's niece, and very attentive, as well as filling us in on the changes to the neighborhood. It's always nice to revisit favorite haunts after you've moved. And fun to make new ones if you haven't been there before. Try Campanale's in Braintree, and take home some extra sauce. I did! ????

It's a lovely family style restaurant. Great portions, decent food and great service. My friend said the burger was a little dry but I would definitely come back. I really enjoyed the experience.

I have been to Campanales many times and never have been disappointed. I particularly like the Chicken Gorgonzola, it is a huge plate of creamy goodness. The red pepper and cheese appetizer was tasty and fresh, and our server Ali was awesome. My only complaint is the lack of parking, the restaurant does not have it own parking lot, but to me that is a minor inconvenience.
