    Fantastic Chinese buns, sandwiches, and noodles, some of which are actually hard to find in the Boston area! Great staff and quick service too. An unassuming gem in Brookline!

    Did you ever wonder what a southern fried chicken sandwich would be like with home made sweet and sour sauce in a bao bun? Spoiler alert: it's here, and it's awesome... pickle and everything

    Bess’s Cafe is by far serves the best steamed buns, dumplings and noodles I’ve had in a very long time. The owner offers great recommendations to her menu and ensures that her guest have enjoyed their meal. A meal with a sweet treat here is a must if you live in or are visiting Brookline.

    Great little spot. The food is good quality but the presentation does not match other restaurants of this type. We also found that the menu items were higher in cost than similar selections for other restaurants. We will go back in the future.

    Great noodles & dumplings— best in the area! Scallion pancake wrap was delicious. The staff were wonderful, very personable and kind! We will be back.
