The Common Room

I don't travel to Needham much, stumbled across the common room. It looked packed so I went in. Glad I did. Came in for taco Tuesdays. Very diverse menu ... From wings, to steak tips to empanadas which were great!! And obviously the tacos were awesome.

Food was good and atmosphere was family-friendly (although I still miss the old Latina vibe). The multiple TVs were a bit distracting and overstimulating. Food was good, server was nice, but super slow service for a Saturday night. We were seated at 5:30 and didn’t get our food until closer to 6:30 - they were clearly understaffed for a weekend. Hope they improve the speed of their service as we would like to come back but not if it will be another 2-hour dinner!

Four of us went to dinner for the first time at the Common Room. We ordered two different burgers, eggplant parm and the steak tips. All of us enjoyed our meals.

I thought the wings were great. We ordered honey BBQ but seems like we got buffalo. They were a little on spicy side for some.

Spicy margarita was good. As were the other drinks.

We hope this restaurant is a Needham mainstay for years to come. Some suggestions from our group.

1) Buns for burgers could have been better.
2) The back tables around the corner should be separated from where the staff is folding napkins / sorting the silverware.

Great food and cold beers await. The onion rings, chicken wings, and corned beef and cabbage were all cooked extremely well. The food can't be beat for a pub like this. The service was friendly but a bit green, they have the right people but just need time to tighten up the service details. I will be back.

Great addition to Needham! Steak tips were flavorful and cooked nicely. Kids chicken fingers were devoured by my 2.5 year old. Excited to come back and try again when things they really get in the flow of typical service.
