All around great deli shop.
They changed the name and prices, food was better before. Maybe they changed the quality? Little disappointed when corn beef and hash cost the same as steak tips for breakfast. Poor website with no real info about the name change, same owners. Little confusing at first..
I have been here several times...never disappointed. I like the thin crusted pizza..very good...............BUT I have to say the Alba burger is outstanding !
I have visited several of "Boston Magazine's Best of Boston" hamburger joints and I think Alba is better than most. One exception perhaps is the burger by Michael Schlow the "Schlow burger" at Via Matta in Boston.
Problem with the "Schlow burger is that is only available for 2 weeks a year in January.
Alba burger is available all year round.
So I may violate terms of use but I've never actually eaten at the Alba Deli but walk and/or drive by every day and it is always empty so I wonder to myself 1. why is a place that looks so yummy always empty- 2. how is a place that serves booze within walking distance to the train always empty.
I called this morning to try and phone in an order and rudely found out they are too busy to do me the honor of making me a sandwich.
Now it all makes sense!
It's gone severely downhill ever since the change in ownership. Way over over-priced for bad service.
